Top Search Engines

Some search engine data for you to browse to see where your marketing effort should lie when attempting to SEO your site.

In November Google provided 46.3% of search
queries with 2.4 billion different searches being provided by the giant.

Yahoo came in second place providing 1.194 billion results to grab a 23.4% share of the search market.

MSN Search picked up the number 3 slot with 11.4% of the queries providing 583,000,000 results.

AOL Search was forth with 6.9%. MyWay and Ask Jeeves trailed with fifth and sixth positions although both engines are owned by Ask Jeeves so maybe it would be best to combine them to 4.8% of the search market.

Hope these figures provide useful information when your looking to build or SEO your sites pages!

Sedo - Buy and Sell Domain Names and Websites

Sedo - Buy and Sell Domain Names and Websites

Sedo is reportedly the place to find registered domain names and websites for sale. There is certainly enough of them out there!

I've been looking to diversify a bit and wouldn't mind picking up a decent website that perhaps the owner is struggling getting traffic to. Indeed I've placed a few bids, only to have them rejected.

The thing that gets me though is that the website owners want tens, if not hundreds of thousands for non-converting sites that would take me a few days to throw together!

Come on guys, I don't mind paying what a site is worth but do you ever think you'll sell your sites, or domain names for that matter, for grossly inflated prices.

Set the price at what it's worth or at least a ballpark figure that's not too far off the mark. Asking thousands for a 2 day project just doesn't cut it in the real world anymore!

Boosting Website Lead Conversion With Pay-Per-Click Landing Pages

Boosting Website Lead Conversion With Pay-Per-Click Landing Pages: "If you're like many marketing professionals today, you're using Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising to drive targeted prospects to your company's website, with hope of converting them to a sales lead through an offer or call to action. Unfortunately, many marketers mistakenly send visitors to their corporate website's home page. Why is this a problem? Because most B2B home pages have a large number of possible paths that a visitor can takeonly a few of which will convert them into a lead. Even advertisers who are savvy enough to send PPC visitors to a page directly relevant to the search query can still take steps to greatly increase conversions, by following some simple suggestions."
